About this Cemetery.
This may be family lore but, the VAN TOL (Leendert van Tol) family farm north of DOON IOWA was lost in the 1920s. (Financial problems I was told by my mother in the 1970s)
A small SW corner of it, looking over the Rock river valley and Doon Iowa, at that time was the cemetery. This land was purchased by my grand father Sjoerd (Joe) Mulder on my mothers side, who owned it until his death. The land was tilled after he was unable to by his sons Edward (Bud) Mulder & Jan (John) Mulder (I think Uncle John owned it also).
The town cemetery has grown on to more of the farm, and this family farm was sold (when gram ma Alice Mulder died, or there abouts). The Van Tols and the Mulders tend to be buried here.
