Obituary of Gertrude
Gertrude Top, daughter of Everett and Ann Top, was born in Lismore, Minnesota on December 20, 1904. She grew to young womanhood and attended school in Chandler, Minnesota.

She was united in marriage to Oscar Olson of Steen, Minnesota on October 7, 1926, at Sioux Falls, S.D. After their marriage they lived in Luverne, Minnesota and moved to Sanborn, Iowa in 1944 where she lived until the time of her death at her home in Sanborn on January 9, 1974 at the age of 69 years and 19 days.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar, of Sanborn; four daughters, Lois (Mrs. Vern Norton) of Sanborn, Iowa, Jean (Mrs. Gene Boone) of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Kara (Mrs. Heinie Folkers) of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Ellen (Mrs. Jerry Thompson) of Cylinder, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Grace DeGraff and Mrs. Ann Todd of Spokane, Washington, Mrs. Dena Gilbertson of Luverne, Minnesota, Mrs. Margaret Littrell of Oakland, California, Mrs. Evelyn Goodwin and Betty Rollert, both of California; and two brothers, Marvin and Barney Top, both of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sanborn, Iowa and a member of the UPWO and the Ladies Aid.

Interment was in Roseland Cemetery of Sanborn.
