Larry Lee Faber, son of Harry and Helen (Van Tol) Faber was born March 8, 1943, in Sanborn, Iowa. He graduated from Western Christian High School in 1961. He met Betty Moss at a church function in Pella, Iowa and would later take her hand in marriage on May 24, 1966. They were blessed with 50 years together before her passing in 2017. Soon after being married the young couple followed Larry’s Naval Service to San Diego, California. Larry earned his Honorable Discharge on March 24, 1967. They made their home in Sioux Falls from 1968 until 1989. They then moved to Michigan for 10 years, returning once more to Sioux Falls in 1998. Larry worked as a computer analyst for the US Department of Agriculture for 30 years before retiring in 1998.
Through the years Larry and Betty were strong supporters of the Sioux Falls Christian Schools sports teams, especially volleyball. Larry enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, and golfing in his spare time. He loved the 15 years that he spent mowing at Spring Creek Golf Course. Above all, family was the most important to them and any time spent with them was cherished.
