Obituary of Mattie
Funeral services for Mrs. Evert G. Mouw, 77, long-time resident of the Orange City area, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Second Christian Reformed church with the Rev. Harlan Roelofs officiating.

Mrs. Mouw died of cancer Tuesday at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. She had been hospitalized for about three weeks.

She was born in the Orange City vicinity on July 2, 1884, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Korver.

On Sept. 6, 1905, she married Evert G. Mouw. They have resided at Orange City all their lives except during 1923-29 when they lived in Grundy Center.

Survivors are the husband; a son, the Rev. Gerritt Mouw, retired Air Force chaplain, now pastor of the United Presbyterian church at Monroe, Wisconsin and two grandsons, 1st Lt. Edward Mouw U.S.M.C., stationed at Camp Lejune, N.C., and 2nd Lt. J. L. Mouw, Ft Benning, Ga.

Preceding her in death were brothers John Korver of Sheldon, George and Martin Korver of Orange City and Gerrit Korver of Pipestone, Minn., and sisters Mrs. John Mouw of Leota, Minn., and Mrs. Dick Reinsma of Orange City.

Pallbearers will be six nephews - - Wm. G. Korver, Wm. M. Korver, Henry M. Korver, Wm. J. Mouw, Jurrian Reinsma and Wm. S. Korver.

Burial will be in the Orange City Cemetery.

Obituary of Evert
Funeral services for Mr. Evert Mouw, 90, were held Wednesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Second Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Jay De Vries officiating. Burial was made at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Elmer Duistermars, Dick Duistermars, Wilbur De Jong, William Reekers, Gerrit Mouw and Orville De Jong.

Mr. Mouw passed away Sunday at the Nursing Wing at Sioux Center.

Mr. Evert Mouw was born November 26, 1878 near Fox Lake, Wisconsin., He married Mattie Korver on September 6, 1905. From 1923 to 1929 they made their home at Grundy Center, Ia., then moved to Orange City where Mrs. Mouw passed away in April of 1962. In 1965 Mr. Mouw took up residency at the Pioneer Home in Orange City, living there until he took ill and then was moved to the Nursing Wing in Sioux Center in 1966. He resided there until the time of his death.

Surviving are: one son, Rev. Gerrit Mouw of Monroe, Wisc.; two grandsons, John of Iron Mountain, Mich., and Edward of Rhinelander, Wisc.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary De Jong of Orange City and Mrs. Dick Kreykes of Sioux Center.
