On February 16, 1938, she married Arie Beyer at the parsonage of Third Reformed Church in Pella, the Rev. Gerrit Menning officiating. They farmed northwest of Pella. In 1960 they moved into Pella. Ada was a homemaker. On March 29, 1989, Arie died. Ada continued living in their home until she needed assistance, then lived with her daughter Sharon for five years before moving to Pleasant Care Living Center in September 1999. She was a member of Third Reformed Church in Pella.
Ada died May 31, 2002 at Pleasant Care Living Center in Pleasantville.
She is survived by two children and spouses: Jerry and Linda Beyer of Knoxville, and Sharon and Engle Van Der Veer of Pella; two grandsons: Jason Allen Van Der Veer and wife Mysti of Des Moines, and Jon Jay Van Der Veer of Iowa City; two great-grandsons: Alex Gaumer and Adrian Van Der Veer; a sister and brother-in-law: Johanna and Ervin Mathes of Otley; a brother and sister-in-law: Bernie J. and Tanna Mae Van Roekel of Pella; a brother-in-law: Marion Verros of Harvey; and a sister-in-law, Viola Sytsma and husband Leo of Tracy.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Karen Ann; her parents; and three sisters: one in infancy, Henrietta Van Zante and Jenella Verros.
