Edward L. Wisgerhof was born on Monday; December 9, 1929 in Jasper County, Iowa. He was the son of: Tunis Edward and Edna Amelia (Miller) Wisgerhof. Edward married Dolores (Johnson) Wisgerhof on Sunday; November 21, 1948, in Laurel; Marshall County, Iowa. He was an accountant for Nash Finch for 38 years and a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, antiquing, sports, an avid Cubs fan and spending time with his family.

Edward L. Wisgerhof, age: 79, passed away on Tuesday; April 14, 2009, at the Linn Manor Care in Marion; Linn County, Iowa following a long illness. Those left to mourn his passing are: His wife: Dolores; his three sons: Doug (Cathy) and their children: Laura (Adam) Humes, Scott (Alexa) Wisgerhof and daughter: Simone, Gordon (Diane) Wisgerhof and son: Matt, daughter Sara (Eric) Throener and daughter: Caroline; his two step-sons: Chris (Steff) Jeffrey and children: Dylan, Sam and Mike (Wendy) Dawson and children: Emma, Jack, Christian and Martin (Nancy) Wisgerhof; his daughter: Maria Wisgerhof; his two sisters: Dorthy Billman of State Center; Marshall County, Iowa and Jean (Bob) Malecek of Justin; Denton County, Texas; his two sisters-in-law: Joyce Wisgerhof of Urbandale; Polk County, Iowa and Bernice Price of Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his brother: Jerry; his two granddaughters: Kimberly and Nicole; also his great-grandson: Ames. May they rest in peace. May God bless his memory and give strength to those that mourn.

Visitation will be from: 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday; April 18, 2009 at the Saint Paul's United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids; Linn County, Iowa. Funeral services will begin at: 11:00 a.m. also on Saturday; April 18, 2009 at the Saint Paul's United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at the Saint Paul's Columbarium. Memorial contributions in Edward's honor may be made to Saint Paul's United Methodist Church.

Dolores Emma Johnson was born June 2, 1930, in Polyclinic hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Daughter of Joseph H. and Winona M. Freeze of rural Kellogg. She attended Barrett rural school and later graduated from Laurel High School.

In 1948 she married Edward L. Wisgerhof, in Zion Evangelical Church in Laurel.

She was preceded in death by her parents and only brother Bob Johnson, two great grand daughters, Kimberly and Nicole and great grandson Ames

Joyce Wisgerhof 72 passed away at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Services at the Grace United Methodist Church in Des Moines with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, Iowa.

Joyce Lee Rankin was born in Newton, Iowa the daughter of Gerald and Pauline Wells Rankin. She graduated from Gilman High School and later received an Associate Degree.

Joyce was married on July 22, 1958 to Jerry Wisgerhof in Marshalltown, Iowa. To this union were born three sons: Jeff, Greg and Tim.
