Obituary of Henry
Memorial services for Henry "Hein" B. Oldert, was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at Thorne Crest Retirement Center Chapel, Albert Lea. The Rev. Dwight Netzer officiated. There was no reviewal. Private interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Albert Lea. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Oldert died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Thorne Crest Retirement Center. He was born on Oct. 14, 1912, in Lacy, Iowa, the son of J. H. and Grace (Kleinpaste) Oldert. He attended school in Highland, Ind., and graduated from high school in 1930 at Griffith, Ind. After graduating, he came to Hollandale and lived there and in Albert Lea the remainder of his life. He farmed near Hollandale and then worked at Streater from 1957 until his retirement.

He married Edith L. Juhl on Oct. 14, 1939, at Hollandale. She preceded him in death in 1991.

He is survived by his daughters: Karen Stegenga of Hollandale, Gail and her husband William Sievers of Albert Lea, and Faye and her husband Richard Madson of Glenville; grandson, Jeff Stegenga and his wife Pam of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters: Dr. Sheryl Gstalder-Chaney and her husband Dr. Scott Chaney of Tutor Key, Ky., Robyn Aldrich and her husband Curt of Glenville, and Joan Krull and her husband Mark and family of Thompson, Iowa; grandsons: Darin and Bryan Madson of St. Paul, great-grandchildren: Jake and Michael Stegenga of Dallas, Texas, and Garrett and Ellie Aldrich of Glenville; brother, William Oldert of Rapid City, S.D.; sister, Aletha Kosche of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Hazel and her husband Don Goodchild of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Edward Oldert of Texas; sister, Pearl and her husband Robert Potts of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; a son-in-law, John Stegenga; grandchild, Lisa Jean Madson; great-grandchild, Bradi Henri Stegenga; and a sister, Bertha.

Obituary of William
Bill Oldert, 90, of rural Windsor, MO, died Friday morning, April 4, 2008, at his home. He was born September 7, 1917, in Lacey, Iowa, the son of Henry Bernard Oldert and Grace VanDyke Oldert.

On April 7, 1942, in Hollandale, Minnesota, he married Ruby Christina Ditlevson, who preceded him in death on October 11, 1998. While living in Minnesota, Bill farmed, raising potatoes, onions and sugar beets. He later owned and operated a laundromat, for several years, in Austin, MN. After moving around the country, Bill settled, with his family, in Springfield, MO, where he owned and operated a carpet and upholstery cleaning business for over 30 years. Bill moved to Windsor in 2003, to live with his daughter Cynthia and her family. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Windsor.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hein Oldert; a sister, Bertha Jacobson and a half-sister, Hazel Goodchild.

Survivors include 3 sons, Gary William Oldert of Owanka, S.D., Lee Anthony Oldert and Kenneth Neil Oldert, both of Avondale, AZ; 2 daughters, Cynthia Sue Lowe of Windsor, MO and Kristie Kay Newton of Dallas, TX; 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter; 3 great-grandchildren; a half-brother, Edward Oldert of Texas; 2 half-sisters, Aletha Kosche and Pearl Potts, both of Texas.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, at the First Baptist, Windsor. Burial will be in the Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
