Obituaries of Henry and Beverly
Henry "Hank" Stip was born on June 20, 1925, in Cedar Rapids, IA to John and Mabel Stip. In 1944 he enlisted in the US Army and was proud to serve his country. He marched across Europe and fought in the famous Battle of the Bulge. He earned a bronze medal for his heroic actions in assisting to evacuate a wounded soldier and the Purple Heart for being wounded in battle. He spent a time at a military hospital in Luxembourg and was honorably discharged and returned to Minot.

Hank married Beverly Zaback in 1948 and soon after welcomed their 4 daughters. In 2012, Henry lost the love of his life, Bev. Henry left this world to meet our Lord and be reunited with Beverly on December 21, 2024, at Sidney Health Center on his 99.5th birthday. He was surrounded in his last weeks by family, friends and phone calls. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him; may he rest in eternal peace.

Hank is survived by his four daughters; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and many other beloved family members.

Hank is preceded in death by his wife Beverly; parents John and Mabel; and siblings Rose, Clara, Maria, Kate, Wilma, Mable, John "Jack", and Ray.

SIDNEY - Bev, 82, died at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings on March 28, 2012. Bev could light up the room with her smile. She loved life and pursued her varied interests with passion and gusto. Bev was the second child born to Helen and Casper Zaback on Feb. 1, 1930, in Rugby, N.D. She lived in Karlsruhe, Harvey and Minot, N.D., during her early years.

In October 1948, she married Henry Stip and was blessed with four daughters in the following eight years. Bev and Hank relocated their family to Bismarck, N.D., in 1956 and to Sidney, Mont., in 1965. Bev had a passion for golf and was known for her long, powerful drives off the tee box. Pursuit of her hobby resulted in shelves of golf trophies and several winters at their second home in Sun Lakes, Ariz. She was a talented and creative seamstress and crafter. Other hobbies included bridge, bowling and homemaking. One of the joys of Bev's life was being with her brothers, sisters and in-laws.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Hank Stip of Sidney; four daughters, a niece-daughter, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

At Bev's request, there will be no service. A family celebration of life will be held in Oregon in August. Memorials may be sent to Rocky Mountain Hospice, Billings.
