Obituary of Roger

Roger Van Doorn, 72, of rural New Sharon, died Sunday morning, December 22, 2002, at the Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa.

He was born on October 10, 1930, in Mahaska County, the son of Nicolaas and Lavesta Rogers Van Doorn. He graduated from the Lacey High School with the class of 1948. He farmed near Spring Valley for nearly 50 years.

Roger is survived by an aunt: Alice Rogers of Oskaloosa; a cousin: David Rogers of Stuart, Iowa; a special friend: Mildred Van Zee of Oskaloosa; and many other cousins and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
