Charleen Mae Grove, 318 Orange Drive, died Wednesday at the University of Arizona
Medical Center in Tucson, at the age of 55.
Mrs. Grove was born Nov. 10, 1924 in Alton, Iowa.
She was an elementary school teacher and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
Services for Mrs. Grove will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church,
with Rev. David Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Grove is survived by her husband, James, of Casa Grande; two daughters:
Jane Schmidt, of Phoenix, and Polly Harp, of Coolidge; son, E. William, of Phoenix;
her mother, Mrs. William George Korver, of Orange City, IA; two sisters: Rose Mackie,
of White Bear Lake, MN, and Burlea Long, of Adams, NE; six brothers: Ronald, of
Tokyo, Japan, Clayton, of Dallas, TX, George, of Marshall, MN, Lawrence, of Orange
City, IA, Russell, of Des Moines, IA, and David, of Forest Grove, OR; and three
grandchildren.

Mr. Grove was born June 28, 1921 in York, Pennsylvania, and died Feb. 1, 1997 in
The funeral for James Edward Grove, 75, a longtime Casa Grande teacher, will be
held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Ed Bradford
officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

He was an Air Force captain and a commerical pilot, and a member of the Hump Pilots
Association.
He taught at Casa Grande Union High School for 21 years and was a member of First
Assembly of God Church, where he served as a deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters: Jane Schmidt and Polly Amos; a
stepdaughter, Dawn Anna Bradford; a son, Bill; three stepsons: Lloyd, Joseph and
Gene Robinette; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to RTA Hospice of Casa Grande.

Russell Lee Korver passed away in peace at home on Monday, December 14th, 2020.
He was born in Orange City, Iowa to parents William and Anna Birdella (DeCook)
Korver and had eight brothers and sisters.
He has many stories that he enjoyed reminiscing about with friends and family and his hospice care takers, or anyone that would listen.
He attended NW College in Orange City and Hope Collage in Holland Michigan where he obtained his masters’ in Mathematics.
He is a Veteran of the Korean war and attended Legion Meetings at the Urbandale Legion Post 636.
He married Shirley Ann Mackie in 1955. They each taught school in Mapleton Iowa until they moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where he began working for Bankers Life (Principal Financial) as a computer analyst and retired in 1992 after 35 years of employment.
He and his wife later built a home in Urbandale, Iowa on 67th Street where they raised their children Brent James and Jill Marie for 25 years. They then moved to their new home on 95th St in Urbandale, Iowa. They attended Meredith Drive Reformed Church.
Once retired, they began to travel throughout the US to enjoy warmer weather, then settled on Arizona where they enjoyed many winters and met many wonderful new friends.
They enjoyed bowling and playing bridge and golfing at the Urbandale Golf and Country Club. Russ is proceeded in death by his wife Shirley, his parents, sister Charlene and her husband Jim Grove, his twin sister Rosa and her husband Milton Mackie, brother Ronald and his wife Ruby and brother Clayton and his wife Anita, and his niece Thea Korver.
Russ will be missed by many friend and family, including his children Jill and Brent (Debbie), and his lovely grandchildren Eliot and AJ Korver. He loved them with all his heart and enjoyed watching them grow to be accomplished young adults.
We wish to thank Kindred Hospice and the incredible people that helped in his care the last few months. They were kind and they genuinely enjoyed having Russ in their care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Urbandale Food Pantry.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday December 18th at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home at 8201 Hickman Road, Urbandale, Iowa 50322.

After graduating from high school, Frank enlisted in the Air Force and served at Bowling Air Force Base. He was discharged and later drafted into the Army and proudly served his country in Korea for two years.
In 1954, he married Burlea Jean (Bea) Korver. They moved their family to a dairy farm in Wisconsin in 1956. The family returned to Iowa in 1968 where he was employed by the International Dealership. They moved to Minnesota where he worked for an auto dealership until retiring in 1992. On retirement the couple moved to Maitland where they have lived for the past 12 years. In August the couple celebrated their 55th anniversary.
He is survived by his wife, Bea Long; a sister; and a brother; Frank and Bea have five children; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; he is also survived by many sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.
His legacy of kindness and unconditional love for his children and grandchildren is reflected in the doll houses and barns he lovingly crafted for them. Frank and Bea loved to travel and enjoyed many trips including visits to their children and grandchildren.
They were members of First Presbyterian Church of Maitland. His Memorial Service will be held in his hometown, Paullina, IA.
