He was born May 29, 1909 in Sheldon, Iowa, and moved to Lynden in 1956. He married Hilda DeBoer May 13, 1936, in Grand Rapids, Mich. The Rev. Reinsma was the former pastor and a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Lynden. He would have been affiliated with the Christian Reformed faith for 50 years in May 1986.

Lynden resident Hilda Reinsma, a retired nurse, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1993, at Christian Rest Home in Lynden, where she had lived since 1989. She was 87. Visitation hours were scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. Memorial funeral services will be at 11 a.m.Tuesday in First Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Louis Kerkstra officiating. Burial will precede the service at 10:15 a.m. at Ten Mile Cemetery.
The daughter of Herman and Clara DeBoer, she was born June 14, 1905, in Preston, Md. She was married to the Rev. William Reinsma May 13, 1936, in Grand Rapids, Mich. They moved to Lynden in 1956 when her husband became pastor of First Christian Reformed Church. He died in 1986.
Mrs. Reinsma was a registered nurse and worked at the former St. Luke's Hospital and for Dr. Kenneth Spady in Everson. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Lynden and the Ladies Aid Society.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Reinsma was preceded in death by a son, John Reinsma, and grandson, Brent Reinsma.
