Obituary of Anna

Anna Dykstra,88,of Sheldon died Tuesday May 30,2000,at Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon,Iowa. Services will be 10:30a.m.today at Frist Reformed Church in Sheldon,with Rev.Gordon Bloemendaal officiating. Burial in East Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs.Dykstra was born Nov.20,1911 in rural Boyden,the daughter of Egbert and Elizabeth (DeZeeuw) DeLeeuw. She was rasied in the Boyden area and attended country school.

She married Wilbert Dykstra on June 18,1936 in rural Boyden. The couple farmed in rural Orange City,Iowa for many years. They moved to rural Sheldon where they farmed until 1972 when they retired. They then moved into Sheldon. Her husband died Nov.14,1992.

She entered Oak Park Care Center of Sheldon in 1993. She was a memer of Frist Reformed Church and their Ladies Aid Group. She enjoyed crafts and crocheting.

Survivors include a son and his wife Rodney and LuAnn of Sheldon;a daughter and her husband, Shirley and Earl Welty of Nemaha, Iowa; six grandchildren, Loria, Dean, Lowell, Lynae and Deanna Dykstra and Michele Welty.

She preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Jake, Bill and an infant Gary; two sister, Elizabeth Haveman and Angeline Bjork.
