Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the First Reformed Church in Maurice with the Rev. Kenneth Westrate officiating. Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday with the family present from 7-8:30 p.m. in Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.
Irwin Frederick Emil was born May 19,1909, in Wheatland, son of Conrad and Irma (Lendt) Reinking. He moved with his family to the Maurice area about 1921.
He married Mildred Johanna Van Roekel Feb. 15,1939, in Maurice. The couple farmed near Maurice until retiring in 1973. In 1975 they moved into Maurice. Since April 1988 he had been a resident of the nursing home.
Mr. Reinking was a member of the First Reformed Church of Maurice and the Maurice Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include his wife; six children, Allen and Amelia "Dee" of Los Alamitos, Calif., Diane and her husband Jerome Munro of Maurice, Carl and his wife Nancy of Orange City, Mary and her husband Dennis De Zeeuw of Sioux Center, Joanne and her husband Robert Schalekamp of Orange City, and Darrell and his wife Janice of Webster City; 12 grandchildren, David and Larry Reinking, Jeffrey and Matthew Munro, Daniel and Pamela Reinking, Sherri and Douglas De Zeeuw, Wendi and Jackie Schalekamp and Jesse and Kelly Reinking; and a brother, Clifford of Ireton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Herbert, Donald, Wayne, Elmer and Merle.

Mildred J. Reinking, 78, of Maurice died on Thursday, March 11, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.
A memorial service was on Monday, March 15, at First Reformed Church in Maurice, the Rev. Wayne Sneller officiating. Interment was prior to the service at Sherman Township Cemetery near Maurice.
Mildred Johanna was bom on June 11, 1920, in rural Maurice, the daughter of George and Hattie (Vander Stoep) Van Roekel. She was raised on a farm near Maurice.
On February 15, 1939, she married Irwin Frederick Emil Reinking at Maurice. They farmed near Maurice and, in 1975, they moved into town. Her husband died on August 22, 1989, in Orange City.
Mrs. Reinking was a member of First Reformed Church where she had been active in women's organizations. She also belonged to the Senior Citizens' Club, Women's Club and Booster Club, all in Maurice. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and making things for her family.
Survivors include her six children and their spouses, Allen and Amelia "Dee" Reinking of Los Alamitos, California, Diane and Jerry Munro of Maurice, Carl and Nancy Reinking of Orange City, Mary and Dennis De Zeeuw of Sioux Center, Joanne and Robert Schalekamp of Orange City and Darrell and Janice Reinking of Webster City; 12 grandchildren, David Reinking and his wife, Denise; Larry Reinking; Jeffrey and Matthew Munro; Daniel Reinking; Pamela and her husband, Brian Ufen; Sherri and her husband, Benjamin Langton; Douglas De Zeeuw; Wendi and Jackie Schalekamp; and Jesse and Kelly Reinking.
Other survivors are a great-grandson, Johnathon Reinking; a brother, Howard Van Roekel of Orange City; and two sisters, Esther Mieras and Shirley Dykstra, both of Sioux City.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace Van Roekel, and a sister, Verna De Kock.
