Glenn and Audrey Van Roekel

Glenn and Audrey Van Roekel, of Coralville, and formerly of Le Mars, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their family Aug. 17, 2012.

They will also celebrate on a family vacation in December on Sanibel Island, Fla.

Glenn Van Roekel and the former Audrey McMurray were married Aug. 17, 1962, at Central Reformed Church, in Sioux Center.

Glenn practiced radiology for many years in Le Mars and surrounding communities. Audrey taught school before raising her family. Both have been active in community organizations and charitable work.

Their children are Christina Van Roekel of Coralville; Rhonda (Matthew) Van Roekel of Baltimore, Md.; David (Tally) Van Roekel of Solon; and Daniel (Joe) Van Roekel of Pittsburgh, Pa. They have four grandsons.
