KROESE, ROBERT J. AND PAMELA (BUYERT)
Robert Jay Kroese was born December 1, 1961 in Sioux City, Ia. to Stanley and Marce (Baker) Kroese In 1962 they moved to Hospers, Ia. Rob attended Hospers Christian, Sioux Center Christian, Unity Christian and graduated from Dordt College.
On June 17, 1983 he married Pamela Joy Buyert at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center, Ia. Pam was born to Barney J. and Caroline Lois (Hulstein) Buyert in Sioux Center, Ia. on March 16, 1962. Pam attended Sioux Center Christian, Unity Christian and graduated from Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls, SD. After graduation, she worked at Altena Steel near Hull, Ia. as a secretary/bookkeeper.
Rob and Pam lived in Des Moines, Ia. from 1984 through 1986 where Rob worked as a CPA for Coopers and Lybrand and Pam worked as a secretary for Hawkeye National Life Insurance Company.
Rob Is a CPA and since July l,l986 has been an owner of Kroese and Kroese, P.C. (See the Kroese and Kroese P.C. business story in the business section of this book.)
Pam Is a homemaker with children Jason Lee, born May 14, 1986, and Sarah Joy, born October 25, 1989. Rob and Pam are very active in the Sioux Center community. Rob will be president of the Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce during the year of the Centennial. The Kroese family are members of the Faith Christian Reformed Church and reside at 121 17th Street Circle SE in Sioux Center.

Stanley D. Kroese began the Stanley D. Kroese Accounting firm in Sioux Center in July 1967 as an Accounting and Tax Practice. It was located at 10 3rd St., behind the Elite Barber Shop.
Later it was moved to 304 North Main, when it outgrew those facilities he purchased the building at 313 North Main from Dr. G. Vander Garde, where we are presently located.
In November, 1973, Gary Miller, an accountant from Rock Valley joined our firm and is presently with us today, also managing the Rock Valley office during the income tax season.
In March, 1975, Jeanette Leusink joined the staff as a bookkeeper and receptionist.
Additional offices were added in Le Mars, and Rock Valley, IA.
In 1980 we expanded our facilities by adding an addition including several more offices, computer, file and conference rooms.
Randall B. Kroese, CPA joined our firm in 1983, coming from Hunzelman, Pulitzer, a CPA firm in Storm Lake, IA.
In June, 1986 Arliss Dokter joined the staff as a bookkeeper and secretary.
In July, 1986 Robert J. Kroese, CPA joined the firm, coming from Coopers and Lybrand, CPA firm in Des Moines, IA.
Randall and Robert purchased the Sioux Center, Le Mars and Rock Valley offices and it became Kroese & Kroese, P.C. Certified Public Accountants.
Randall manages the Le Mars office, Robert the Sioux Center office, Gary Miller the Rock Valley office, and Stan remains in the Sioux Center office.
n 1987 Jaris Visscher joined our staff and manages the computer operations.
In 1988 Richard Rikkers, a CPA from Hull, IA joined our firm and also manages the Hull office that was added in 1990.
Rhonda Vanden Broek started with us in 1988.
In 1990 Rex Knapp, a CPA from Des Moines, IA joined us from Coopers and Lybrand CPA firm in Des Moines.
The firm employs fourteen people during the income tax season.
