John August Jansma, "Papa John," a resident of Lindsay, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010.
He was born on April 4, 1936, in Artesia, California. He was 74.
John was a truck driver for 40 years, most of that time with O. H. Kruse Grain & Milling.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Jansma of Lindsay; his sons, John Michael Jansma and wife, Sharon, and Mark David Jansma; daughters, Nanci Annette Jansma, Shelly Lynn Williams and husband, Jim, Jennifer Diane Fuller and husband, Rob and Rebecca Ann Bivens; brothers, John Lautenbach, Chuck Lautenbach, David Jansma and August Jansma; sisters, Thelma Wybenga, Judy Kooiman, Evelyn Jongsma and Rosemary Fox; and his stepmother, Grace Jansma; grandchildren, Jon, Jay, Colby, Tyler, Sara, Hannah, Jake, Connor, Cheyenne, Nathan, Kassarah and Jacob; and great-grandchild, Julianna.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. at the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery in Lindsay.
