Mrs. Norma G. Muilenburg, age 45, of Orange City, passed away suddenly Monday, July 25, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Sioux City.
Norma Grace was born June 27, 1938, at Sioux Center, the daughter of Bernard Mouw and Marie Rozeboom Mouw.
She graduated from Northwestern Junior College in Orange City.
On May 27, 1958, she married William J. Muilenburg at Middleburg. They made their home in Orange City. For several years Norma was a teacher at St. Mary's Elementary School in Alton.
She was also employed by Mid-Sioux Opportunity and for the last three years was a secretary at Northwestern College, in the Admissions & Financial Aid Office.
Mrs. Muilenburg was an active member of Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City, where she sang in the choir, taught catechism and Sunday School classes and served in women's groups.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Michael of Sioux Falls, Brian of Omaha, and Mark and Bruce, both of Orange City; her parents of Boyden; and five brothers and sisters, John Mouw of Murphysboro, Ill.; Mrs. Dean (Janet) Franke of Riceville; Kenneth Mouw of Greenwood, S.C.; Mrs. Collyn (Phyllis) Peterson of Olathe, Kan., and Robert Mouw of Newkirk.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Reformed Church, the Rev. Donald R. Lenderink officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
Memorials will be used to establish a scholarship in her name at Northwestern College.
