Shirley Joan Van Zee, 54, of Townsend, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010.
Shirley was born in Sioux Center, Iowa, to Richard and Junaida (Mouw) Dibbet on Aug. 11, 1955.
She married Glen Van Zee, the love of her life and best friend, on April 2, 1976. Together they raised two children, Adam and Levi, living in Montana for the past 29 years. She took great pride and joy in raising and spending time with all three of her boys. She was never down, always positive. She always had a special glow about her. She will be remembered for her love for life and how she celebrated it daily. She always strived to be Christ-like in words, actions, and deeds by sharing her love for God and the gospel message with others.
She is survived by her husband, Glen; sons, Adam (wife, Desiree) and Levi of Bozeman; mother, Junaida Dibbet of Sioux Center; brother, James (wife, Gloria) of Sodus, Mich.; sister, Sharon (husband, Rick) Brommer of Rapid City, S.D.; brother, Marlin of Sioux Center; and granddaughter, Keziah Van Zee.
She was predeceased by her father, Richard Dibbet.
Shirley will be greatly missed by her husband, family and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Trailhead Christian Fellowship. Graveside committal will follow at Deep Creek Cemetery.
