Married Faye Kruse Dec. 28, 1964 at the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, IA.
They had two children, Mame and Joel.
Joel worked as a dispatcher for the Osceola Sheriff's office.
He is survived by his wife, Faye, daughter, Marna (Bryce) Strasser and their children, Mahi and Abbie of Lennox, SD; son, Joel (Kristy) Vos and their children, Jacob and Mackenzie of Spirit Lake, Iowa; brother Robert (Norma) Vos of Sibley, IA, sisters-in-law Linda Schuett and Julie Kruse; nieces, nephew and other extended family.
